Mathilde Chénin lives in Aubervilliers, France. Her work emphasizes versions over finished forms and privileges collaboration as a important aspect of her research. The collective space of being and working together is explored through an idea of expanded writing practices navigating between bodies, techniques and language. Her work is an elaboration of different kinds of systems, geneologies, scores and other Collective Large Objects which draw from a number of domains – binary logic, Object-oriented programming, tensegrity, etc. She develops her work among research residencies (Géographies Variables, 2012 ; La Box, 2013 ; Coopérative de recherche, ESACM, 2014-2015) and takes part to shared processes about collective creative strategies (Mind Dancing Laboratory, Station, Belgrade, 2012 ; Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers ; Groupe de Recherche en Homéopathie Binaurale, 2011-2014 ; Metaphorical Institute, Bidart, 2015). Her researches also give form to narrative and gestual performances (Hors-Pistes, Centre Pompidou, 2014 ; Dire et Faire, Bureau des Projets, 2014 ; Nouveau Festival, Centre Pompidou, 2015).
